Living History - camping rough....

 It appears that some of our members take the reenactment of seventeenth century camp life very seriously. They live all weekend in authentic clothes, sleep in canvas tents, cook on an open fire and eat authentically. You might think that is taking it to extremes - and its certainly not everyone's choice. But don't be fooled, the seventeenth century lifestyle is worth considering! They sleep on a bed of sheepskins and stay toasty warm, the clothes are comfortable and easy to live with, the fire needs maintaining but these chaps are now experts and are never short of something to eat or drink. In fact they have become extremely knowledgeable about seventeenth century cuisine, and if you are lucky you might receive an invitation to dine in fine seventeenth century style!
