Welcome to Hammond's!

Colonel Robert Hammond's Regiment of the Armie of Parliament was formed in the late 1980's as the Lord Generall's Lifeguard. Our aim as a regiment within The Sealed Knot, is to portray an English Civil War company of the Parliamentarian New Model Army Regiment of the same name formed in 1645.  The original Hammond's saw their first battlefield action at the Battle of Naseby in June 1645, and went on to become veterans of many battles throughout the English Civil Wars. We re-enact one of the original New Model Army regiments - the forerunner of the British Army Redcoat Regiments we know and are so proud of today.

Colonel Robert Hammond's today offer precise drill, a great fighting spirit on the battlefield and a lively social side to our unit once the fighting is done! Hammond's truly are a friendly bunch! We get together throughout the year at battles (called musters); we also have regimental events including our spectacular regimental annual banquet.

Hammonds are also proud of their long friendship with the Memmingen Pikeniere from Memmingen, Bavaria. Our friendship is reinforced with visits to and from Germany, and we are honoured to be known as the Fahnlein Reinach - the 5th Company of the Memmingen Pikeniere.

Why not come along and join us?
